This week saw the Yellow is for Hello message travel across two Canadian provinces, as three new benches were launched to mark Mental Health Week 2016.
As well as launching two more benches in Ontario, we also launched the first bench in Quebec. This means we now have benches in place in three provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec.
Not only did this week see us launch the first program in Quebec, it was also another important first as we launched our first bench in an elementary school. This sees the Lucas Fiorella Friendship Bench expand beyond the universities and colleges of previous installations, and bring our message of peer-to-peer support to school students too.
Below you can find pictures from the three launches: St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School (Ontario), Humber College North Campus (Ontario), and Champlain College Saint-Lambert (Quebec).
Our sincere thanks to everyone who continues to support our ongoing mission, and to the schools and colleges/universities that are bringing our program to their students.
Together we can make a difference.
